The kajal comes enclosed in a black cardboard box which gives you all the information printed on it including the ingredients. The kajal comes in an opaque glossy silver tube with the brand name and the kajal name and no. located at the bottom. It is travel and user friendly in my opinion.

Their whole range of kajal comes in 12 shades from black to red they have it all. I always wanted a brand to come up with safe to use colored kajals and that is when I stumbled upon Soul Tree. The kajal comes in a lipstick format hence no sharpening or wastage but once it gets used up the tip is bound to turn blunt. I would describe this one to be a steel grey but it looks a nice smokey grey on the eyes. It has very fine shimmer but it does not bother the eyes.It is ideal for those with sensitive eyes

Upon application you definitely feel a cooling sensation in the eyes due to the use of camphor. The kajal can be used on the waterline as well as the upper lash line as eyeliner. It is not very creamy nor hard and glides well, for waterline you need a couple of swipes. So I would say that it is not smudge proof so if you apply as eyeliner then you may have to set it with an eyeshadow. The kajal stays put for quite sometime but smudges and may fade after 5 hours or so. Hence how I use it, is as a base for any eyeshadow to pop and is apt for smokey eyes. Also I feel if they claim it is a natural product why add shimmer??

My final thoughts is that it is a good kajal but not the best. I like that it is all natural and gives a cooling sensation to the eyes. I would love to try the black and brown variant sometime.

MLWM Rating: 4/5

I hope this review was helpful and informative to everyone.Have you tried SoulTree kajal before??  or any brand I should try??? Do let me know in the comments section.

Have a great week ahead.. Take care xoxo

  4. I won't compromise on this grey shade. But the smudging somewhat can be a factor as well. I really don't like smudging.

  8. Great review. Good to know that it does not contain lead or paraben. I guess we have to compromise to a certain degree if we need to use good natural products. It's better than loading your fave with chemicals.
