VLCC Sandal Cleansing Milk Review

Hi everyone,
Today I shall be reviewing VLCC Sandal Cleansing Milk which I have been using for quite sometime. VLCC is a huge name in India and they have so many products which I have got the chance to explore in the last few months. I have reviewed quite a few of their products. You may check the reviews HERE. If you wish to know more about this product. Keep on reading...

Price: Rs.140/- for 100 ml. Available online here and here

Key Ingredients:
Berberis aristata (Indian Berberry) extract 3%, Prunus amygdalus (Almond) oil 2.5%, Symplocos racemosa (Lodhra) extract 2%, Trigonella foenum-graecum (Fenugreek) extract 2%, Olea europaea (Olive) oil 2%, Withania somnifera (Winter Cherry) extract 1%, Santalum album (Sandalwood) oil 0.001%, Lotion Base QS.

Formulations containing Herbal ingredients tend to change colour over period of time, however, product efficacy remains unchanged.

About the product:
Sandalwood or chandan is one of the most precious gifts of nature. This wonder wood can be a one-stop solution for all skin problems. Used in a variety of ways, it can help balance oil secretion, dryness, pimples and dark circles. This nourishing cleansing milk is enriched with the goodness of Almond & Indian Berberry extracts and Sandalwood oil that cleans, nourishes and heals skin in one sweep

The cleansing milk comes enclosed in a cardboard box packaging with all the information printed including ingredients and other information. The bottle inside is opaque white in color and there is no way you can tell how much product is left. It has a flip cap and helps in dispensing product properly. It is travel friendly in my opinion.

This cleansing milk according to the brand needs to be massaged on the face in circular motion and then wiped off with damp cloth. The brand also says it is ideal for normal to dry skin. I have oily to combination skin - the way I use it is I take some in a cotton and run it all across my face. It does a good job of cleansing the face of make up and any dirt and fortunately(deep cleanses). I never broke out using it as I do use a face wash after using this product. So I would say it works for all skin types considering it worked for my oily skin. It does smell like sandalwood no doubt which is mild and not very strong. Overall it is a decent cleansing milk available in the market.

The Good:
Easily available
Inexpensive
Works for all skin types
Cleanses face of make up & dirt
Natural Ingredients
Mild sandalwood aroma
Deep cleanses
Travel friendly packaging

The not so Good:
Not ideal for removing eye make up
Complete ingredients list missing

Rating: 4/5

VLCC Sandal Cleansing Milk  is suitable for all skin types and effectively removes make up and dirt when used. I do recommend it for the price.

I hope this post was informative as well as helpful to all those reading. Comment below with your inputs. Have you tried the VLCC Sandal Cleansing Milk before???

Until next time.. Take care xoxo

  1. It sound like a product to try milk has benefits for the skin and is been use way back in time so why not try products that works close to it.

  3. I love these types of cleansers but would never use a product without an ingredient list. I guess if a company is proud of their ingredients they wouldn't hide it.

  7. 0.01% is really less for a product to be named sandalwood. It is a great product but name can be misleading. Nicely reviewed
