L.A Colors 3 Color Eyeshadow in Orchid Review & Swatches!
Hello everyone,
Today I shall be reviewing the L.A Colors 3 Color Eyeshadow in Orchid which I had got from the website ShopMissa. You can check the haul here. I am not big on eyeshadow because I find it cumbersome and time consuming not that I hate it but real time situations you can only manage time for eyeliner and kajal - let's be realistic! So its not that I hate eye shadows in fact I am trying to get into eyeshadows as who does not like a pretty looking eye. I stick to neutrals 95% of the time. Shades like n*des , rose gold are my favourites. I have been trying this one from L.A Colors for a while now and I am here to tell you more about it. Read on to know more........
Price: $ 1. 49 for 5.5 g of product. Available for a $1 at most drugstores and dollar trees in the US and at ShopMissa.com
What does the brand claim:
A trio of long-wearing eyeshadows in one chic palette.
Brush applicator
Long lasting
Vivid colors
Three expertly coordinated shades can be worn alone or together to create an array of looks. Complete with dual ended applicator.
Cruelty Free.
Made in China
Packaging:
It comes in a plastic black container with a clear transparent lid. Hence it is easy to spot it in your stash. It comes with a doe foot applicator which is okayish and can be used in times of emergency but I prefer my brushes. Ingredients and instructions are mentioned at the back. Overall a little flimsy for the price but cannot compain for a $1
EOTD using the trio I posted on Snapchat! |
When I ordered this palette from ShopMissa unfortunately the pink came completely smashed but a beauty blogger knows how to fix it ;) All 3 shades have a nice flower pattern on it.All 3 have finely milled golden shimmer. The pink one is the least pigmented of the three and needs to be packed on a little more than the others. It is best used wet or with a make up fixing spray or any other creamy base. There is fallout which is quite expected for the price. The neutral shades are decently pigmented in my opinion. So we have a baby pink, a peachy n*de shade and a bronzy brown. You can use all three or individually depending which style you are going for. I prefer a single color all over the lids. The staying power is decent with a primer or base but do not expect miracles. It is ideal for daily office wear and college students who do not want to spend a bomb on eyeshadows. I wish brands like these come to India. Here everything is expensive :/
The Good:
Available online
Very inexpensive
3 shades in one palette - Value for money
Pigmentation is decent
Can be used wet or dry
Ideal for everyday use.
Cruelty free
The not so Good:
Availability is a major problem for us in India
Pink shade is not that pigmented
Packaging is a bit flimsy - not travel friendly
Rating: 4/5
L.A Colors 3 Color Eyeshadow in Orchid comes with 3 beautiful shades which is ideal for everyday use by women of all age groups. For the $1 price it is decent. Would recommend these to those who are on a budget like college students or someone not picky about pigmented eye shadows.
