Mitti Se Grapefruit Lip Balm Review

Hello lovelies,
How is the weather treating you all? It has finally started to get a bit cold here, not that much but some respite from the heat and humidity in Mumbai. I love winters as they give me an excuse to wear warm clothes and eat lovely & delicious hot food which one enjoys more in this type of cold weather. Anyhoo coming to today's review I shall be reviewing a new organic and natural brand I got to know recently called 'Mitti Se' . This is a brand I discovered few months ago and will be reviewing some of their products in future on the blog. Which is one product one cannot live without anytime of the year? I would say lip balm. It is a must have for me- after all who likes crusty and chapped lips right. I will be reviewing the Mitti Se Grapefruit Lip Balm today. Read my post to know more....

Price: Rs.190/- for 6g. Available on their website here
Also available on organicshop.in

Ingredients:

What does the brand say:
Heals and smoothens, very effective for chapped and dry lips, rich in Vitamin E. Completely free from Parabens and other chemicals. Contains: Shea Butter, Beeswax, Jojoba, Wheatgerm, Essential Oil of Grapefruit.

Packaging:
The lip balm comes enclosed in a grey cardboard box with basic instructions printed on it. The lip comes in a small container with a screw type lid. One would need to dip in their fingers for application - I wish it came in a chapstick format as it is more hygienic that way. Nevertheless the packaging is decent and the small tub can be travelled with anywhere. Hence it is travel friendly.

The lip balm is clear and not tinted. The formula of the lip balm is nor too thick nor thin - just in between. It smells like grapefruit as claimed by the brand and I like the smell not overpowering and subtle the way I like it. This lip balm claims to moisturize, heal and smoothen the lips. Moisturizing yes it does, I do not have really bad chapped lips but yes this did make my lips softer and chap free. It has a smooth texture and is light weight on the lips. I use it under or over any lipsticks to give a glossy look. My lips do feel soft, moisturized post using this lip balm but yes you do need to reapply the lip balm after regular intervals as it is light weight and won't stick to the lips for long. It is a decent lip balm and I cannot find any points to criticize much honestly ☺

The Good:
Easily available online
Inexpensive
Light weight consistency
Smells like grapefruit
Heals chapped lips
Moisturizing
Smoothens the lips
Ideal to use under & over lipsticks
Cruelty free
Travel friendly packaging

The not so Good:
Need to reapply
Need to dip fingers in to apply

Rating: 4.3/5

Mitti Se Grapefruit Lip Balm is a light weight lip balm which moisturizes, softens and makes lips soft & supple. It does not contain chemicals, preservatives and is cruelty free. A must try lip balm in my opinion.
