VLCC Silver Facial Kit Review
Hello lovelies,
It has been a while since I reviewed a facial kit. I have not visited a parlor/salon for facial in the last 3 years and I don't need to because of certain reasons. I use the best of products and not sure what they do, secondly lack of time, thirdly its expensive and lastly I use so many products for testing purposes that I do not feel the need for one. But a facial is advisable for people above 20 atleast once in 3 months and for those above 30 depends may be once a month. It all depends on you but cleansing, scrubing, toning and moisturising is a must. Today I shall be reviewing the VLCC Silver Facial Kit and share my experience using it.....
Price of this kit: Rs.250/- Available at any VLCC outlets or online here
Ingredients:
Packaging:
The kit is a silver cardboard box with the VLCC logo in orange on it. It clearly depicts that it is a silver kit. It comes with 5 individual sachets each for different steps & a small tube with moisturizer is provided for the same. The steps are mentioned on the box itself and there is no separate leaflet for the same.
Let us go through the steps as to how I used the kit:
1. Cleanser & Toner:
The sachet comes with a nice screw lid which I liked wish the same was provided for all of them. The cleanser was white in color. It did not lather much but did a good job of cleansing my face.
2. Scrub:
The scrub was of a gel like consistency and had fine particles of silver dust as claimed by the brand. It did not melt after scrubbing for a while. It was not abrasive which was nice and did a good job as a scrub for me. It is an antiseptic scrub with goodness of silver powder and winter cherry.
3. Gel:
The goodness of Silver powder and Bergamont extract helps to restore the skin PH balance and prevents blackheads and that is what is in this gel. I did massage it on my face for quite sometime to get best results. My skin felt refreshed and a bit tighter post use.
4. Cream:
Enriched with licorice extracts and silver powder this cream fights against dull skin. I found the cream quite thick and the instructions did say to massage for 15 -20 minutes which I felt was quite long. 10 minutes is legit I feel.
5. Face Pack:
The Face Pack comes moist and no need to add any liquid to it. It is white in color like a mud pack and felt really nice on the skin. I used cotton balls dipped in rose water and had a nice relaxing wait before I could wash it off.
6. Moisturiser:
The moisturiser is a yellow based gel type consistency. It was light weight and got immediately absorbed in the skin. It contains SPF 15 PA+ which is good sun protection from harmful UVA & UVB rays.
Final thoughts:
Post completing the steps my skin felt softer, firmer and there was a nice glow on the face. The kit does not mention for what skin type it is but will suit most skin types. It did work for my super oily skin. Due to lack of time most people do not end up visiting the salon and in the bargain the skin suffers as well. I love kits like these as you can have a facial in the comfort of your home without any hassles. It says it is a one time use but I feel you can make 2 - 3 uses out of it. I wish they have sachets with screw lids like they had with the cleanser because once used it is difficult to store the remainder I had to use pins to secure them for my next use. The price is so reasonable - a must try for sure.
