Oriflame Colour Drop Lipstick in Liquid Red Review & Swatches

Hope you all had a fabulous 2014 if not 2015 is almost here as I am typing this review on the 31st December 2014 which makes it the last review of this year 2014. Lipsticks have always been my first love I used to hoard them like there is no tomorrow. Well times have changed and so has my shopping pattern.I know exactly which shades to go for and those who follow me on Social media would know how crazy I am after red lipsticks. Today I shall be sharing Oriflame's  Colour Drop Lipstick in Liquid Red which I recently started using and have been loving it so far. Let us find out more about this shade in my review...

What does Oriflame say about the lisptick:

The lipstick comes in a cardboard box with basic instructions and ingredients printed on it. The expiry date is also mentioned on the tube which is good as we tend to throw the box out and keep the bullet.The lipstick bullet is sleek and hot pink in color. It is very sleek looking. I totally adore the packaging very stylish indeed.It also has a flat bottom so the lipstick can stand looking pretty on your dressing table ;) The cap click  locks and is sturdy and travel friendly. Overall I love the packaging.

The lipstick is a true blue based red which high on gloss yet is richly pigmented. It is buttery soft & smooth and glides on like a dream on the lips. The pigmentation is buildable. The lipstick smells and tastes like candy. I love the taste too. There is no shimmer in this lipstick which is like Yayy.. Applying this lipstick one needs to be careful as it can easily  get outside the lips. I would suggest using a red lip liner although I am ok without a lip liner. After sometime the glossiness disappears and it sets into a semi matte finish. Given that it is winters now I love to wear these kind of lipsticks as they moisturize my lips and do not make them feel chapped. The lasting power is really good 5 hours or so and on fading leaves a red tint behind which looks really nice on the lips. The only problem with this lipstick is that it may melt in the summers other than it is an amazing red and a must buy.

Does not accentuate fine line on lips.

The not so Good:

You need to swipe more than once for desired opaqueness.

Contains parabens.

Tendency to melt.

Oriflame Colour Drop Lipstick in Liquid Red  is a super pretty red lipstick which is glossy in nature, does not contain shimmer, smells nice and whose lasting power is decent. It will suit  most skin tones in my opinion as it is glossy.  I am biased towards this shade as I love red lipsticks. Hence I recommend this lipstick to all especially now when winter is here.
