Ethicare Remedies Lipz Lip Moisturiser Review

Hi everyone,
The winters have already set in but strangely Mumbai is yet to taste the actual winters. We all are finding it strange that this time around it is not that cold while I know from my friends in North India and elsewhere that it is freezingly cold. Anyhow winters make things worse for the skin, hair and especially lips. Everything cries out for moisturization. As a beauty blogger and even before I became one I always used to hoard lip balms - colored, tinted I want them all.. Lol.. Sounds like you right? Today I shall be reviewing  a lip balm from Ethicare Remedies, the brand  of which I had reviewed the Hydrofil Emolient cream here Read on to know my thoughts on this lip balm...

Ingredients:

Price: Rs. 72/- for 9 g

Shelf life: 4 years.

Availablility : here

The lip balm comes in a cardboard box packaging. The packaging of the lip balm is quite simple & effective. It comes in a squueze tube with a slant tip which makes applying the lip balm easy and a piece of cake. Also packaging like this makes it hygienic to use as it is better than digging your finger in the tub. All the basic information is printed on the box and tube itself. It is travel friendly and can be easily be carried in your handbag/purse.

The lip balm is a clear gel which has no color. The lip balm smells like vanilla but I am not too sure of the taste. In fact I get the taste like that of a medicated lip balm which does not mean that it is bad. The texture of the lip balm is perfect - not too thick nor too thin.It goes on smoothly on the lips and makes them feel moisturized and hydrated. I did not get any waxy feeling with this one.  This lip balm contains SPF 15 which I love as it is a must for any lip balm now a days. Now I do not have crusty lips which means they are chapped but not that bad. This lip balm works perfect for me and has made my lips soft and less chapped than before. You need to reapply the lip balm after every few hours which is the case with most lip balms. This can be used by men too which is a plus point as it is clear. It also can be used over any lipstick.  It is preservative free which is really good. For the price it does a decent job.

The Good:
Inexpensive.
Easily available online.
Texture not too thick nor thin.
Feels comfortable on the lips.
Squeeze tube packaging makes it hygienic to use.
Moisturizes & hydrates my lips.
Preservative free.
Travel friendly.

The not so Good:
Reapplication is required.
Tastes medicated which is ok for me though.

Rating :4.8/5

Ethicare Remedies Lipz Lip Moisturiser  is an inexpensive lip balm for dry and chapped lips. Daily use would make it soft and supple and SPF 15 would prevent darkening of lips. For the price it does a good job. Hence I recommend it to everyone.

  2. This was a really helpful post, thank you! I'm glad to hear that the moisturizer is not too thick or thin--really thin or thick moisturizer always bothers me. But, I live in Chicago, USA and it is always really cold here, so I already have to reapply so much, so it is unfortunate that this one would needs reapplication. :/ Regardless, great post!
