Oriflame's The One Colour Impact Eyeshadow in Intense Plum & Shimmering Steel Review

Hey everyone,
Today I shall be talking about the Oriflame's The One Colour Impact Eyeshadow in Intense Plum & Shimmering Steel. If you have been reading my reviews you would know that Oriflame has launched 6 shades in the cream eye shadow collection, 4 of which I have talked about here and here. I have been enjoying using them so far.Read on to know my thoughts on these 2 shades today...

Ingredients:
DIMETHICONE, MICA, CALCIUM CARBONATE, PROPYLHEPTYL CAPRYLATE, NYLON-12, SYNTHETIC FLUORPHLOGOPITE, ZEA MAYS STARCH, CANDELILLA CERA, HYDROGENATED CASTOR OIL, STEARYL/PPG-3 MYRISTYL ETHER DIMER DILINOLEATE, ALUMINA, OCTYLDODECYL LANOLATE, POLYSILICONE-6, PROPYLPARABEN, TIN OXIDE, TOCOPHEROL, CI 77891, CI 77499, CI 77491, CI 77007, CI 77492, CI 77510, CI 16035

Price
Rs.449/- Available on introductory discount of Rs. 299/- and can be purchased from any Oriflame consultant across India.

Oriflame's the One collection range of make up is divided into 3 categories:
·         Everyday Beauty
·         High Impact
·         Long Wear

What does Oriflame say about this product:
·         Easy to apply and blend for even results.
·         Cream to powder like texture - goes on creamy and transforms to a powder for colour intensity
·         Supreme pigment pay off
·         Pearly to matte shades with a velvetty sheen.

The eye shadows come in a plastic container and a screw cap. The body is transparent with a maroon pink cap. Yayy for plastic containers as most companies make glass jars which if dropped may be problematic. It comes with basic instructions, price and expiry date. They are small and cute and will fit in any make up pouches and could be easily carried while travelling.

Intense Plum:
As the name suggests it is an intense plum color. The intensity can be built up from light to dark depending whether it is a day or a night look. This eye shadow is perfect for fall/winter season as most people tend to use shadows which are from the berry or plum family. I see myself using this shade a lot this winter as I love these type of shades for winter. You could also do a smokey eye with this.

Shimmering Steel:
True to its name it is grey in color which resembles the color of steel as the name suggests. Yes there is shimmer but it is finely milled and not chunky at all which means you willnot look like a shiny disco ball.. Lol :p I love this shade and wanted to try something in grey because I think it looks sexy. Also you can use this as a base and use a powder shadow over the top. As I mentioned before also that these can be layered for more intense look as well. This is definitely my no.1 shade among all as I love grey eye shadows.

The eye shadows are light weight in texture and easy to blend. You can lightly dab them for a day look or pack it on for more intensity for an evening look. Both the shades are metallic in nature but nothing Over the Top. The eye shadows will last all day and even more if you may use an eye primer first or a powder eye shadow over it in the same color. For the introductory price of Rs.299/- you must stock up all of them.

The Good:
6 shades to choose from
Cream to powder finish.
Long lasting.
Blends well.
Do not crease.
Comes in a plastic jar - no breakage problem
Travel friendly.

The not so Good:
Contains parabens.

Rating for both: 4.5/5

Oriflame's The One Colour Impact Eyeshadow in Intense Plum & Shimmering Steel are two gorgeous shades which looks so beautiful on the eyes. I think these are must haves for any eye shadow lover as they are at an introductory offer price of Rs.299/- So go get one today from your nearest Oriflame representatives.

  17. I have this in Olive Green and I like that inspite of being cream shadows there is no greasiness and the finish is powdery smooth, which helps these shadows to set instantly and last longer. For the price I think they are of great quality. Well, beautifully reviewed, I would love to have a few more shades!
