Plum Angel Eyes Kohl Kajal in True Black Review and Swatches.

Hey everyone,
Hope you all had  great weekend. Mine was good, In fact in India it was a long weekend from Thursday upto Monday which is today. The heat is killing us softly, I am eagerly waiting for winters now ☺☺Coming to today's review I shall be talking about a kajal/kohl pencil from a brand called PLUM whom I discovered recently. You can read more about them and their story as a brand here I shall be reviewing the Plum Angel Eyes Kohl Kajal in True Black. Read on to know more...

What does the brand say about the product:
Angelic goodness in a super-soft kajal
For over 12 hours every day, the tender areas of your eye and skin absorb everything that's in your kajal. Shouldn't your kajal be safe and all-natural? Angel Eyes true black kohl kajal with no synthetic dyes, preservatives or other chemicals. Cushion-like softness is thanks to a cocktail of jojoba oil, macadamia oil and chamomile extracts. Specially formulated for dusty, tropical climes like India with high exposure to sun and pollution.

Price: Rs.425/- for 1.14g

The pencil comes in a wooden pencil format which needs to be sharpened unlike the twist up variants. The body is white in color with purple print on it, I like it. It comes in only shade which is black. You need to be careful while shutting the cap or it can get messy as the body is white in color. The cap shuts well and hence I would say it is travel friendly.

My search for a good kajal which does not smudge, inexpensive and lasts all day is never ending. There are tonnes of kajal/kohl in the market and it is very difficult to find one that is perfect. So when  I was sent this kajal by Plum I was excited to try it as I cannot do without kajal when I am out of the house. Now since I have dark circles I would prefer a kajal which does not smudge and would  not make me look like a panda.. Lol.

The kajal is smooth and very cooling to the eyes. It glides on smoothly without any tugging or pulling. You need to go over a couple of times to itensify the color. The kajal stays put for 3 hours and does not smudge compared to any normal kohl pencil. I usually rim my waterline with the kohl making sure that the kajal does not smudge much outside because I have oily lids and going outside the waterline will make it smudge as it does not set into a matte finish. The kajal stayed on my eyes for 4 hours or so. There was a little bit of smudging and I can understand why due to the extreme humidity and heat and my oily eye lids. They have free shipping and cash on delivery and not to forget the kajal comes with a free sharpener which looks extra cute which can be used to sharpen jumbo pencils and smaller ones which means you can use it for your other pencils. You can buy the product here

The Good:
Easily available online.
Goes smooth on the eye lids without tugging or pulling.
Attractive packaging.
Comes with a free sharpener.
Cash on delivery and free shipping.
Soothing to the eyes and cooling too.
Cruelty free.
Travel friendly.

The not so Good:
Wish they come up with a twist up version.
The intensity fades after a few hours.
Pricier compared to other brands.

Rating: 4/5

In conclusion I would say I love this brand as a whole and this kajal is worth a try for the all goodness and natural ingredients. It is cruelty free and also you get a sharpener free and you can order it from the comfort of your homes with free shipping and cash on delivery. Hence I recommend this product to all kajal lovers.

I hope this information was helpful and informative. Please leave a comment below with your inputs and new bloggers may leave their blog link for me to check out.

Until next time.. Ciao !!! ♥♥

  7. Definitely an adorable name (not as much as you are though!!!). Omg…a long weekend!! Dayummm! Is it because of Dusherra? :) I wish I was living in india. I could really use the weekend :( And now, coming back to the product, it is such a pretty plum colour, and it's an understatment if I tell you that it compliments your beautiful eyes so so much <3
