Oriflame The One Collection Volume Blast Mascara - Review & Swatches
Today I am very excited to talk about the newest launch from one of my favourite brands Oriflame. I have been using their products especially their make up from the last 6 years. If you have been following my blog regularly you would know that I have reviewed tonnes of products from Oriflame and would be doing so in the future too. But today I am going to talk about their newest product which is from - The One Collection they have launched this month. Exciting right? Today I shall be reviewing Oriflame's - The One Volume Blast Mascara. Let us find out more about this mascara in my review today....
Price: Rs. 529/- for 8 ml. Available on a special price in their catalogue here
What does Oriflame say about this mascara:
Every Lash Counts - Lash - grabbing brush catches every lash for super separation and bombastic volume. Conditioning actives hold on to moisture for soft, lubricated and conditioned lashes and Vitamin E that provides immediate nourishment. Bold Boost Wax System - helps to create a rich, smooth and creamy consistency for ultra volume and easy application.
Oriflame's The One Collection is divided into 3 ranges:
- Long Wear
- Everyday Beauty
- High Impact
The mascara I am reviewing is from the High Impact range. The mascara comes in a maroonish red tube with the 'O' right on top denoting that it is from their newest - The One collection. There is a silver band in between and the name of the mascara is imprinted in silver on the tube although expiry date is mentioned. It comes sealed which is good because then you know it may not have been used by anyone. It is completely travel friendly and can be easily carried in your purse.
I have been beauty blogging from more than 1.5 years and I must admit I was an illiterate person when it came to eye make up and mascara I never even had one.. Lol. The thing is I have lovely lashes but they are not curved like they should be and make me look sleepy. So since I started using mascara I realised its importance and I always rely on my eye lash curler first to curl my lashes and then use a mascara. Now as most of us beauty enthusiasts know that different mascaras serve different purposes and everyones needs are different depending on the kind of lashes one have. In my case I definitely want something which curls and makes them look voluminous.
So when I started using this mascara I was amazed by how well it worked for me. For the first time I never used my eye lash curler and just opened up my eye lashes which was like Vow!! I generally apply 2 to 3 coats but 2 coats are enough for a natural everyday look. It did not clump like most mascaras do and the wand is really interesting very slim and seperates the lashes well as claimed. Since it is slim you can easily use it on the bottom lashes and it works well. The only con I found was that it is not waterproof. Now generally I do prefer waterproof ones especially the monsoon season but otherwise I am ok with it. Since it contains wax it does not flake at all. It is long lasting and worked well for me.
Easily available through an Oriflame representative.
Decent and attractive packaging.
Interesting wand - seperates eye lashes and works well for lower lashes too.
Inexpensive - can be availed on discount as introductory offer.
Builds volume and opens up the eyes.
Does not flake due to wax formula.
Ideal for those who wear contact lenses and those with sensitive eyes.
Does not clump.
The not so Good:
It is not waterproof.
Oriflame's The One Volume Blast Mascara is a really good mascara which instantly voluminises the lashes and builds volume, does not clump and the best part does not flake. I am currently loving it and hence I recommend everyone to give it a try especially since it is on an introductory offer of Rs. 399/-
