Oriflame Professional Powder Brush Review

Hey everyone,
I hope you all are doing great. This weekend is going to be full of festivities in India especially in Mumbai as the festival of Lord Ganesha - Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated here. Hope you all have a great weekend.Today I shall be taking about the Oriflame Professional Powder Brush in my review today. I had received a set of brushes from Oriflame India although all may have not impressed me but lets see what I think of this brush. Read on to know more...

What the company says about the brush:
A large paddle - shaped brush featuring a fluffed, rounded tip. This brush is specially designed to provide flawless application of powder to face and body.

Product Description:
Made of goat hair with wooden handle but these are obtained from animals without causing any harm or death. Also Oriflame does not use any ingredients which could be derived from dead animals.

Price: Rs.279/- You can buy it from here
It is also available on Purplle and Ebay.

The brush comes in a plastic wrapper with the price, code and name of the brush mentioned there, nothing fancy. The brush has a wooden handle which is black in color and has some tiny silver shimmer on it which makes it a bit presentable and professional. The brand name logo is imprinted on the brush handle. Overall I like that it is black so it does not even look messy after use.

The Powder brush bristles are soft and dense and rounded at the tip. The handle is sturdy and big. The brush swirls well around the whole face. Until few years and may be even now people would use puffs to dab powder on the face which I also prefer because I have quite large pores on my face. I learnt this trick from Wayne Goss of gossmakeupartist fame  that one should dab and press the powder using a puff on the face to set everything in and minimize the pores but then a brush gives more even application making the powder spread around the face evenly. According to my experience I do have 3 to 4 brushes and you could use a blush brush for applying powder too  but a face powder brush would be better as it is bigger in size. This brush does a great job of powder application as it is of a decent size. Also it has not shed which is good and I have not had any problem using this so far.For this price I think it does a great job.

The Good:
Inexpensive.
Rounded at the tip and evenly distributed bristles.
Sturdy handle.
Travel friendly.
Does apply the powder evenly on the whole face.
Easily available online.
Did not shed any hair.
Bristles do not look dirty due black hair.

The not so Good:
You may have to get it online or from an Oriflame representative.
Wish they do not use animal hair at all.

Rating: 4.5/5

In my opinion this would be a good buy considering the price and the quality is good unlike the other brushes which have had shedding problems. I recommend everyone to give this brush a try as a powder brush is a must have in your kitty.

I hope this review was helpful to all those reading. Please leave a comment below I do read them all and if you are visiting my blog for the first time do leave your blog links for me to check out.

  1. I like the idea they do not use animal hair that is a big thing with me and I a big fan of ECO Tools brushes due to them being eco and animal cruelty free. Hope you have a great time we celebrate Labor Day weekend from tomorrow till Monday.
