Dr. Batra's Natural Moisturizing Lotion Review

Hi everyone,
I hope everyone had a great weekend. Out here it had been pouring like crazy and I had no option but to enjoy the rains staying indoors sipping hot tea and had some hot pakoras.. Hehe... At such times one would  prefer pampering themselves  to good food, rest and some nice skin care products which help us relax in a better way. Today I shall be reviewing a product from Dr. Batra's line of products which most people in India may be aware of. The product I shall review is called Dr. Batra's Natural Moisturizing Lotion. Let us find out more about it in my review today.

About Dr. Batra's :
Founded in 1982 by Dr. Mukesh Batra, Dr. Batra's Positive Health Clinic has come a long way today with 149 clinics spread across 76 cities in India, Dubai and UK. They provide state of the art services to more than half a million people all over the world, the numbers growing steadily.

On the other hand, Dr. Batra's positive health products has been churning out health products since 2001 and their vast range has steadily gained popularity for excellent quality and a natural base. You can read more about them here

The moisturizing lotion comes in a  transparent bottle with their logo which red and blue and key ingredients mentioned in the front. All the information about the product and the ingredients are mentioned at the back.It does not leak whatsoever. The packaging is a little bit tricky there is a button on top which says press and once you do that there is a small outlet which opens up but getting the lotion out is a bit problematic as you need to press the body till the lotion gets out and the first time I tried I took out more than required. Apart from this the packaging is fine. I wish they change it to a pump one.

The lotion is white and color as seen in the picture and is not very thick. I would say not too thick nor too thin - just the perfect consistency according to me. I do have oily to combination skin. My hands are pretty ok but my leg always turn dry. I use this lotion after bath on my hands and legs. It smells really nice and floral due to the presence of Echinacea which is a flower from the daisy family. It also contains Aloe Vera which is a good moisturizer for the skin and has multiple benefits.

The smells lingers for sometime but is not over powering at all and should be ok for sensitive noses as well. According to the instructions you need to apply after every 6 hours which I would say is true as this is not a heavy moisturizer. The skin definitely feels softer after using this lotion.  Personally  I would recommend using it in summers as it is light weight. In winters it would not work as most of the people's skin turns dry. Yes even those who have oily skin too. Hence I would say that this lotion is definitely not for those who have dry skin but for oily to combination skin can work all year around.

The Good:
Pleasent smell.
Light weight consistency.
Contains Aloe vera which is good for the skin making it non sticky too.
Does make the skin soft.
Does not contain parabens.
Recommended by dermatologists.
Travel friendly.

The not so Good:
The packaging can be improved.
In comparison to the lotions in market this one is a bit pricey.
It will not work for those with dry skin.
Availability - need to get it from their clinics only

Rating: 3.5/5

In conclusion this is a light weight body lotion for those with oily to combination skin. I would recommend this to those with oily to combination skin.

I hope this review was helpful to all those reading. Please leave a comment below as I do read all of them also if you have tried anything from this brand before. Please leave your blog links if you are visiting my blog for the first time.

  11. Over here, it hasn't rained for as long as I can remember, so the heat wave continues. I also prefer pump to pump out enough lotion. Seem like a nice product but with my skin can be somewhat on the dry side, I can't say much.
