Essence Smokey Eye Brush Review

Hi girls,
I hope you all are having a great week so far. Today I shall be talking about a make up brush I truly love. If you are from India then you would know that we do not get inexpensive brushes with decent quality  here. There is very limited selection when it comes to make up brushes unless you want to shell 400 odd bucks for an eye liner brush. Yes you heard that right? Those who follow me on Facebook would know that I had mentioned there how the prices of make up brushes have been soaring ridiculously by the day. Even the most affordable brands have increased their prices by 50 bucks. I was really angry about the whole thing. Anyhow since Essence launched here in Mumbai I wanted to pick up few things and this brush was definitely on my list. It is called Essence Smokey Eye Brush. What I think about this brush you will have to read on further to know more....

Price: Rs. 149/- I got it for less after discount. But let me tell you it was originally priced at Rs. 129/- which means they have increased the price too which is no surprise on all the products :/

The brush is small yet sleek which is black in color and  the bristles are purple in color. The brand name is imprinted in purple on the handle itself. The handle is made of plastic. It comes in a nice transparent plastic cover which you can put the brush into and easily carry with you while travelling. It comes with some instructions as to how the brush can be used as seen in the picture above.Overall I like the black and purple packaging.

I am constantly on the lookout for an eye blending brush as we have limited options at a minimal price. So when I got to know of this brush I wanted to get it somehow because it was so cute and purple bristles took my heart away.. Lol.... This brush as mentioned is a smokey eye brush which is true you can easily create a smokey eye look using a pencil or a gel eye liner. Some may say the brush is small but I say it is small and effective and does the job of blending very well. So if you have hooded eyes like me or any shaped eyes this will work for everyone. The bristles are dome shaped like any other blending brush  but smaller compared to you regular blending brush you may have used like MAC 217 or I have the Oriflame blending brush too. The bristles are very soft and the brand is cruelty free. What more can you ask for? Go get it girls...

The Good:
Easily available  in Mumbai and Delhi.
Available now on medplusbeauty website.
Cute packaging.
Bristles are soft and non scratchy.
The brand does not test on animals and is cruelty free,
Love the black and purple combination, looks cute.
Very inexpensive.
Travel friendly.

The not so Good:
Availability could be a problem but not for me.

Rating: 5/5

I am very impressed with this brush and would get one more or try the other brushes too. For the price it is steal. If you want an inexpensive brush which will enhance your eye make up go get it. I highly recommend this brush to everyone.

I hope you found my review useful.  Do leave a comment below with your thoughts and if you are coming here for the first time please leave your blog links for me to check out your blog.
