Garnier Fair Miracle 2 in 1 Fairness Cream Review and Swatch

Hi girls,
Happy New Year everyone and I hope everyone had a great time. I was a bit occupied due to Christmas and New Year celebrations. Hence I was not active enough online. Anyhow I am back and I am going to review a new product/launch from Garnier Skin Naturals called Garnier Fair Miracle 2 in 1 Fairness Cream.I had got it even before commercials were shown on TV a week back. Let us find out about this new product in The New Year in my review below...

Ingredients:

The claims of the company:

Price: Rs. 55/- for 15g. But I got it for 49/-  bucks at an introductory price.

The cream comes in a pink and white packaging tube. It does have a screw type lid which I always say I am not a fan of. All the instructions, ingredients are mentioned on the box. The packaging is travel friendly and the white and pink combination makes it look attractive.

Few days back when I went to the medical store I spotted this cream and I got it mainly because of the packaging and the fact that it is a new product. I have been using my Olay All in one fairness day cream and loving it because it works for my skin well. Some people say I don't need a fairness cream.. Lol but the fact is that there is so much pollution here that my skin gets dull soon. Also these creams only brighten up the face and not make you fair and if there is SPF , nothing like it. Since I have oily to combination skin heavy duty creams  are not for me. These ones seem ok for me.

(The before and after representation is on my wrist. Please excuse my dry hands)

Now coming to this fairness cream I have been using it for the past few days. The product says that it has the goodness of Cream and Talc and yes I can feel that. The cream is milky white in color and it has a lovely scent which is not overpowering at all. Now my skin has turned dry due to winters and only the nose remains oily. I usually wash my face with a face wash and then apply this cream. As claimed yes!  it does instantly brightens the face and gives you a matte look - I guess it may be because of the claim that it contains talcum powder. Now it is not very moisturizing and you have to moisturize your skin first and apply this cream if you have dry skin and  in winters applying moisturizer would be a must before using this cream. This product will work best in summers well especially for those with oily and oily to combination skin. Now it does say meant for all skin types but it may not work for dusky skin beauties as it may leave a whitish layer on the skin. My skin tone is fair  to medium type so it seems to work for me but I am not sure if it may suit women of all color. It also does not contain SPF too so you may have to apply sunscreen before heading out in the sun for the day. I like this cream and seems good for me so far. The 12 hour claim is what I am not sure of but the skin looks good for 5 hours or so which is good.It never caused me any break out so far which is good.

The Good:
Easily available.
Inexpensive.
Cute packaging of white and pink.
Gives a matte look to the face due to its claim of cream & talc 2 in 1 formula.
Instantly brightens the face.
Smells lovely not overpowering
Complete ingredients list mentioned and does not contain parabens.

The not so Good:
May not work for all skin tones as it may leave a whitish cast on the skin ( my opinion)
Not moisturizing enough.
Does not contain SPF which I think is a must for fairness cream.
Not sure about the 12 hour claim really.

Rating :3.8/5

So far I am liking this cream but disappointed that it does not contain SPF. It is decent and worth a try but remember to moisturize your face first before using it in this winter season.

I hope my review was helpful to all those reading. Feel free to comment below I love reading your inputs.

  19. my age is 16..is this cream effective???will it give fair n glowing skin??

  20. This cream only brightens ur face because it contains talc like properties which means it will temporary brighten ur face and give it a boost and not make u fair.. Fairness creams only make ur skin one or two tones lighter not fair. Use a sunscreen daily to avoid getting tanned. I hope u get ur answer... Thanks for stopping by :)
