Eyetex Dazzler Eye & Lip Make up Remover

Hi everyone,

I have done lipstick, eyeliner, eye shadow posts but never done on a make up remover. So here I am with this review today. The make up remover I shall review is called Eyetex Dazzler Eye & Lip Make up Remover. Applying make up is a good thing but getting rid of it is absolutely necessary before going to bed. Let us see if this product is worth it or not.

Key Ingredients:

Price: Rs.60 for 50ml. I got it on discount.

The make up remover comes in a tube with a screw type lid. Somehow I prefer flip cap ones. The company's name is printed on the front side but a bit towards the side...Lol  On the back the list of key ingredients and general instructions are mentioned. The packaging is nothing great just Ok types. It does not leak and can be carried while travelling.

The make up remover is milky white in color. The texture is creamy and not very runny. It smells floral. Now in the instructions it does say that wet the area from where you want to take off your make up. Apply the make up remover using your finger or cotton and let it sit for 3 to 5 minutes. Post which wipe it with a make up remover pad or cotton and use a facewash to wash your face clean.  OK so what I do is generally take it in a cotton and rub it over the make up and it comes off well. I have also used it on the lips and it does a good job. Now I would suggest never let it sit on the eyes as they say and do not use it to remove mascara from the eyelashes because if it goes inside your eye it will burn like hell. The first time it happened I was shit scared and was careful in the future. Now even though you may say why use it again?? But even if a product does not work in a certain way I do  find a solution to make it useable. While doing eye make up if I make a mistake I usually use a Q- Tip or a cotton bud and clean it with this make up remover, this way it works well. Apart from the burning part it does a good job.

The Good:
Inexpensive.
Nice consistency.
Does a good job of make up removal.
Pleasent smell.
Travel friendly.

The not so Good:
Availability.
Packaging isn't good enough.
Only key ingredients mentioned.
Burns like hell if it gets in your eyes.

Rating: 1.8/5

This product had great potential but the fact that it burns the eyes I hate it. Since I already had this one in my kitty I did find a way to use it as mentioned in the review. Dazzler does not make these anymore and have come up with a cleansing milk which I am excited to try. I shall check that out and review when I get it.

I hope my review made sense and was helpful to you. Please comment below what you think and if there is something I should try which is cheap on the pocket yet effective.

Love,
