Patanjali Aloe Vera Gel Review
Hi everyone,
Hope you all are having a great week so far and enjoyed reading my last review of the Oriflame lipstick. Today I shall be reviewing a product which is a must in my skin care routine. I am going to review Patanjali Aloe Vera Gel which is quite famous as per reviews of many beauty bloggers here in the blogging world. My skin type is oily to combination types - quite dry in the winters and oily in the summers. There is one product which has been a part of my skin care routine since the past 2 months. If you want to know more about this product please read on further.....
Price: Rs. 35/- for 60ml.(Less than a $1 or £1) Buy it online HERE
Shelf life: Best before 18 months from mfg date.
Uses: Useful in rejuvenating, nourishing, beautifying and glorifying the skin, helps in retaining healthy skin.
The Aloe Vera Gel comes in a sleek transparent tube with a flip cap which I love. There is a photograph of the Aloe Vera Plant on the tube to make it look attractive. The ingredients and other basic information is printed on the back of the tube. The gel has not leaked or gone goopy at all. You can carry it with you while travelling.
The gel is an almost natural alternative to the Aloe Vera which many of us in especially cities are unable to find or grow in pots in our homes. The benefits of Aloe Vera is known to most people now a days. Most skin care items claim to have benefits of Aloe Vera. It is known to treat eczema, psoriasis, itchy skin and so on. The benefits as mentioned on the tube is for natural beauty, safety and useful for removal if pigmented spots. As I mentioned I have oily to combination skin more on the oily side so creams are a no no for me it itches my face. Few years back I would not know any damn thing what is good for my face what suits my skin etc but I have learnt a lot since then. When I heard so many good reviews about this brand I never knew where to get it from and guess what I found there was a shop close to my house.Since then there has been looking back.. Lol..
Patanjali Aloe Vera Gel Review |
The gel is light green in color and not sticky at all. I use this gel twice a day once after bath and once in the night before I sleep after washing my face. I use it on the area around my eyes for hydration and around the mouth. Using it around the mouth has reduced the pigmentation to some extent. Just a drop is enough to cover my face and neck. You need to wait for it absorb say 20 seconds or so as it does not get absorbed immediately and leaves a wet feeling until absorbed. It can be used to treat sunburn and can also be used as a make up primer which I do and it works fine. This gel may not be hydrating enough for dry skinned beauties but it can still be used by them. Overall this is a versatile and excellent product.
The Good:
Easily available across all Patanjali stores in India.
Light weight formula.
Hydrating for the skin
Inexpensive.
Has number of uses for skin.
Helps in lightening pigmented spots over a period of time.
Transparent packaging allows you to know how much product is left inside.
Travel friendly.
The not so Good:
None!
Rating: 5/5
One product so many uses and so inexpensive too. It is a must buy for everyone as it is very beneficial for the skin and will suit all skin types and it won't break you out. For some using this alone is not enough to moisturize the skin hence you will need a moisturizer too. Hence I recommend everyone to try it. This product can be used by men too :D

ReplyDeleteHi Natasha ji. Ur beautiful review made me eager to buy this Patanjali aloevera..Is it available at Patanjali stores? & do u think this aloevera would work for my dark circles atleast to some extent? its not so horrible :- D
ReplyDeleteIt can be used to hydrate the under eye skin & lighten dark cicles...
Deleteto lighten them mix coconut + sweet almond oil + oil from one vitamin E capsule evion.. apply regularly bef sleeping at night in 3 mnths u will see the difference :)
Hi. I have oily skin plus lots of acne and pimple marks in my face. I have bought this Patanjali aleo Vera gel. Pls suggest me how to apply. Shall I apply and leave overnight or otherwise. And I sweat a lot. So once I apply. I feel my sweat does not allow it to work properly. Pls advice. From many years I have this issue. I wil be so grateful if you reply. Thanks in advance
ReplyDeleteHi, Aloe vera is like a moisturizer fr oily skin.. use a small amount and preferably at night.. store in the refrigerator fr cooling effect.. For acne u can buy Tea tree oil from any good brand and apply on ur pimples before bed.. They dry up quickly.. hope this helps !!!
DeleteHey Natasha, although I'm a bit late but must say that my skincare routine is incomplete without this one.
