Patanjali Haldi Chandan Kanti Soap Review !

Hi everyone,
Everyone love soaps don't they and especially if they smell good. I recently got into buying this soap from Patanjali - the ohh so famous line of products promoted by Baba Ramdev. I love sandalwood in any form be it sandalwood oil, soaps and talcum powder. Unfortunately out of my experience I find most of them no good as they are scented with artificial scents. The soap I shall review today is called Patanjali Haldi Chandan Kanti Soap. Sounds nice let us find out what I think of it...

Ingredients and other information:

Patanjali Haldi Chandan Kanti Soap Review

Price: Rs.13/- for 75g . You can shop for it online HERE

Packaging:
The soap comes in a normal paper packaging which is white and yellow. All the information, ingredients and other basic information is printed at the back of the soap. The smell of sandalwood takes me back to childhood when I would go to my aunty's place to stay. They would use sandalwood soaps then. I think it was Mysore Sandal Soap which is supposed to be the best as far as I know, I have not used it lately though. All I can say over the years I have seen many companies coming out with Sandalwood soaps and after one or two uses the smell disappears which clearly is an indication that is not a genuine sandal soap.

Patanjali Haldi Chandan Kanti Soap Review

The soap is orangey yellow in color. I looked at the ingredients on this one and does mention that they have added some coloring and smell but no mention of sandalwood as a major ingredient which is very strange & disappointing. The soap lathers well and the color is a faint yellow considering that it contains haldi and chandan. It comes of easily with water and gives you a nice squeaky clean feeling. The smell stayed on me for atleast 2 hours which is nice.

Now the claims that it is useful in removing dryness and roughness of the skin is true but not 100% true . After my bath I felt my skin a bit dry but as time passed I felt my skin to be soft and in fact when I used it the following day I did not feel the dryness as much as I felt on using it for the first time.Overall it is a decent soap with perfumed sandal in it and not actual sandalwood. If this bothers you do not buy it.But honestly for 13 bucks you cannot expect real sandalwood in a soap which is very expensive as an ingredient.

The Good:
Easily available.
Very inexpensive.
Decent packaging.
Ingredients list mentioned.
Good body cleanser
Ideal for normal skin
Cruelty free

The not so Good:
Dries out the skin - recommended for summers
Ingredients contains perfumed sandal

Rating: 4/5

Patanjali Haldi Chandan Kanti Soap is ideal for normal to oily types and recommend for summers. It is sandalwood scented and hence inexpensive - do try it once in my opinion!

I hope my review made sense and was helpful to you. Please leave in your valuable comments and any product that I should try from this brand.Have you tried the Patanjali Haldi Chandan Kanti Soap before??

Until next time.. Take care xoxo

    1. yesterday i bought this particular soap and while rubbing i experienced some sand like particles . i thought it might have due to packaging but when i rubbed it with cloth the sand like particles came out again . I suspecting that it could be dried sandal wood powder but really don't know . i refrained it from rubbing my face i rather used on arms and legs .
