Skincafe is here to treat your lips in the most delicious way!!

Hello everyone,
I hope you all are doing well.As you know summers are on in full swing and I urge you to take care of your skin and hair. One product in my vanity is a must have throughout the year and that is a lip balm. Now even after 3 years of blogging I do come across amazing, organic and handmade products and today I shall introduce you to one of them called Skincafe. They were kind enough to send me 3 of their products which are broadly classified into 3 categories which I will mention later on.Read on to know my experience using them, my final thoughts and know more about this brand...

About SkinCafe:
We sell made-to-order skin care products using fresh and wholesome ingredients.
Unlike other commercial cosmetics companies, we create your products after you place your order.
We send you something that has been crafted specially for you each time. No old stuff manufactured and packaged and then stored in a warehouse for weeks or months waiting for an order.
We make it FRESH for you!

If you may follow my blog regularly you may know that I like supporting brands and products which are made in India and handmade. It is good to support new and upcoming Indian brands and small artisans. These lip products which the brand makes are a luxurious treat for your lips. All the ingredients are 100% natural and are free from chemicals or preservatives.

Their lip products are classified into 3 categories:
  • Lip Balm
  • Lip Butter
  • Lip Scrub
Packaging: All 3 lip products came in a cardboard box with a lid on and is pista green and white in color. The lip products are placed in glass jars in each of the individual boxes with the brand logo on the top which is essentially a cupcake. Glass jars are prone to breakage if dropped hence one would need to be careful.

I shall now tell you about the products I received and my review on each of them. You can buy their lip treats from HERE (click)
1. Ginger Watermelon Sorbet Lip Butter
Price: Rs.950/- for 9g product

Ingredients:
Cera Alba (Beeswax), Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Fruit Butter, Citrullus Lanatus (Watermelon) Seed Oil, Zingiber Officinale (Ginger) Essential Oil*, Citrus Aurantifolia (Lime) Essential Oil*, Magnesium Stearate, Skin/Food Grade Fragrances & Colors

This lip butter is light pink in appearence and the texture is smooth, creamy and buttery just like the name suggests. It smells and tastes like its name. You need to layer it on for better performance. Although its tinted it goes clear on my lips.

2.Tiramisu Lip Scrub
Price:Rs. 950/- for 9gm

Ingredients:
Coffea Arabica (Coffee Beans) Seed, Sesamum Indicum (Sesame) Seed Oil*, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Powder, Skin/Food Grade Fragrances

The scrub for the lips is essentially made of coffee beans which are not too finely milled nor abrasive in my opinion. It is important to exfoliate the lips once a week especially if you wear lipsticks on a regular basis. The scrub is natural and delicious and you may be tempted to lick it off. Scrubbing the lips gets rid of the dead skin cells resulting in smooth, supple and chapped free lips.

3. Apple Cranberry Pie Lip Tint Lip Balm:
Price: Rs.900/- for 9gm
Ingredients:
Cera Alba (Beeswax), Mangifera Indica (Mango) Seed Butter, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter, Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil, Pyrus Malus (Apple) Infusion, Magnesium Stearate, Skin/Food Grade Fragrances & Approved Cosmetic Grade Colors

The lip balm is smooth and light weight and spreads across the lips well. I found that it did not melt  due to the presence of beeswax which is good. It has a faint rosy tint which will give the lips the just bitten look. As per the smell and taste, it is exactly as described by the brand :)

My final thoughts on these lip treats:
Each of the above mentioned products are handcrafted and made of the best natural ingredients. The thought of putting food names and flavours into lip balms is something I have not heard of and is very unique. The only cons I can think of is the price it is on the expensive side but still worth it in my opinion as I have used them and have felt the difference. Also they have a shorter shelf life of 3 months hence if you order or gift someone you will have to make sure that they use it up. Skincafe lip treats are indeed a treat to the lips and is truly worth investing in.

My rating: 4.3/5

So what you think of Skincafe Lip Treats??Would you buy it or have you tried it??Do let me know in the comments section. As for me I do highly recommend it .

Thank you for taking the time to read this post. Hope you found it useful and informative.

Until next time.. Take care xoxo
